and Chinese energy work from martial arts to Buddist meditation by working from the hara we become grounded and centred, essential before working with animals. In our modern world we tend to live in our heads, and often find it difficult to be fully present in the moment.

There are 3 aspects of the Energy Body that are
relevant to our work with Reiki-The Aura, The Chakras and The Meridian
System, when we feel that an area or specific points in the body
draw more Reiki or feel differently to other areas this can be related to
specific chakras or points on a meridian.
Knowledge of the Energy Body is useful but not absolutely necessary,
to work effectively with Reiki.

SARA was founded by Kathleen Prasad (Animal Reiki Source), and Leah D'Ambrosio in May 2008, to support the growing number of Reiki Practitioners who wish to establish programs in their local shelters.
